MVDA is currently in the preliminary stages of developing a new web-based ‘used parts’ location service. It will be ‘free of charge’ to customers looking for spare parts.
A range of options is currently being considered, but members are invited to tell us whether they think this is of benefit them & what they would like to see (within reason!), bearing in mind that this will initially be developed on a limited budget (so it will be unrealistic to expect ‘part number’ functionality, at least initially).
It is also important that this facility is of use to the largest possible number of members, and so must cater for the variety of ways in which members sell parts. It must also be low cost.
It is anticipated that VRN look-up will form an integral tool, to ensure that both customers and members have as accurate information as possible about the parts being sought.
Clearly only MVDA members will be able to participate & receive parts requests.
This ‘not for profit’ MVDA system, intended solely to support the activities of the MVDA and the business of its members, forms part of the on-going drive to improve services for member companies.
